Career Accomplishments

HipCricket – Managing Partner/Investor- Full service mobile marketing and event company specializing in SMS using proprietary application to connect brands and services to consumers. Successfully monetized involvement,  and assisted company build as a leader in burgeoning mobile vertical.

 

Interpublic- President of Marketing Drive Worldwide Diversified Companies and New Client Acquisition: Responsible for selling key client categories and below the line service agencies, from digital, properties, licensing, sponsorship, premium, fulfillment, event and sports marketing.  


Marketing Drive - Founded and built 220 person promotional marketing company, with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Connecticut: leader in customer specific marketing and other promotional marketing disciplines.  Primary focus areas included:  promotional strategy development, general consumer promotion, on and off-line strategy development, promotional media, in-store marketing and shopper marketing.

 

The in-store marketing group sold to Time Warner in 1994 and MGR was sold to True North Communications (which has subsequently been sold to Interpublic Group of Companies) in 1996. Both sales were successful endeavors.


 

Charlie Tarzian

Mr. Tarzian is a recognized expert on data driven marketing and sales automation.  Beginning in 1994, Mr. Tarzian designed and developed the Dynamic Marketing Environment (DME) a realtime marketing operating system, currently deployed at one of the largest global technology companies in the world.  From 1996 through 1999, Mr. Tarzian was President of Blau Marketing Technologies, the technology subsidiary of Barry Blau and Partners, the largest independent direct marketing agency in the U.S. at that time. In late 1998, he became Chief Technology Officer of circle.com, a publicly traded company (CIRC), and later became the Chief Strategy Officer before taking over as CEO in November of 2000.  By then circle.com had grown to a 650 person, 13 office multi-national group.  In 2001, circle.com was integrated into Euro RSCG, the fifth largest advertising led communications group in the world, and Mr. Tarzian assumed the title of CEO of the New York region.  He has been leading teams on large global engagements utilizing his expertise in the integration of technology, data and creativity with clients such as Merck, Pfizer, Bayer, Diageo, Nintendo, Coty, P&G, IBM, Intel, Symantec, Computer Associates, Volvo Cars, Lexmark, Campbell Soup Company, Barclay’s Global Investors, Adobe and Charles Schwab, among others.
